Turn AI Agents Into Engineering Capability

From individual AI experiments to scalable, governed engineering workflows – integrated into your existing software platform and toolchain, for the development of safe and secure embedded systems.
See Our Approach

Start small - 1-day readiness workshop to get started – then scale step by step

Protect your investments - Connected via MCP – no platform switch

Stay independent - Your LLM, your infrastructure – no lock-in

Meet standards - Safety standards – e.g. ISO 26262, IEC 62304, DO-178C and the EU AI Act

What are Agentic Workflows in Engineering?
Agentic workflows are development processes in which AI agents do not just make suggestions but plan and execute tasks on their own – for example writing test cases, running them and analyzing failures. To do so, they use your engineering tools via standardized interfaces such as the Model Context Protocol (MCP). Humans set the goals, review the results and give the approval. An AI agent has two parts: Agent = LLM + Harness. The large language model (LLM) provides language and reasoning capabilities. For us, harness engineering means connecting agents with engineering knowledge, tools, skills, pipelines and guardrails – enabling them to perform real engineering tasks rather than just generating content. We build this harness together with you on top of your existing toolchain.

What It Takes to Make Agentic Engineering Work

The differentiator is not the AI itself. It is the engineering environment around it: knowledge, tools, workflows, governance and the ability to scale. Vector combines all four dimensions – from engineering technology to organizational adoption.

Knowledge

Your challenge: Default agents stay generic – they lack your engineering and product knowledge.

What it takes: Give agents access to the right engineering and product knowledge.

We create agent skills that combine Vectors product know-how with your process knowledge.

Tools & Workflows

Your challenge: Your toolchain is not connected – agents cannot reach your tools, data and pipelines.

What it takes: Embed agents into your engineering tools, workflows and automation through skills, tool integration and pipelines.

We provide agent-ready tools and MCP connections to your existing toolchain – Vector and third-party.

Processes & Governance

Your challenge: Safety, standards and governance are unclear – reliability, data protection, IP, EU AI Act.

What it takes: Make agentic engineering traceable, compliant, safe, secure and governable.

We share our functional safety, cybersecurity and process expertise – from the start.

Scale

Your challenge: Your pilot does not scale – first experiments run, but the broad benefit is not materializing.

What it takes: Turn successful pilots into reusable, maintainable and scalable engineering capabilities.

We design a roadmap, carry out rollout, training and coaching for your teams.

Vector combines all four dimensions – from engineering technology to organizational adoption.

How We Work With You

We build the tools your engineers use – and know how to make agents use them.

PHASE 0: Readiness Workshop

1 day / collect use-case ideas, assess maturity, clarify the framework conditions.

  • Prioritized use-case shortlist

PHASE 1: Assessment & Roadmap

2–4 weeks / analyze processes and toolchain, evaluate benefits and risks, define governance.

  • Roadmap and business case

PHASE 2: Pilot

6–12 weeks / connect tools via MCP, develop agent skills, measure results.

  • Working pilot with KPIs

PHASE 3: Rollout & Operation

tailored to requirements / integration into toolchain and CI, approval processes, operation.

  • Productive agentic workflows

Alongside: Training and coaching for your teams – from getting started with AI agents to developing your own skills.

Why Vector

We build the tools your engineers use – and know how to make agents use them.

  • Protect your investments: We introduce agents into your existing, certifiable toolchain – no platform switch.
  • Tools and product knowledge: We build the tools – and bring their know-how into your agents as skills.
  • Standards and governance: Functional safety, cybersecurity and the EU AI Act considered from the start.
  • Stay independent: No vendor lock-in: you choose the language model and how it runs, and humans keep the approval.
  • Everything from one source: Consulting, implementation, agent-ready tools and training.
  • Our commitment: Sustainability, maintainability and future-proofing.

How Our Expertise Turned Into Customer Value

Customer story from a global market leader in industrial automation

Challenge

AI agents were proliferating across the organization – without a coherent architecture or governance.

What we did

We assessed platform options – including IBM, NVIDIA and an in-house approach – for architectural fit, scalability and long-term viability. We established a governance framework and defined an evolution strategy aligned with the company’s technology landscape and business needs.

Result

A clear, architecture-driven platform strategy that enables scalable AI adoption while reducing fragmentation, governance risks and vendor lock-in.
