Timing and Performance Analysis in AUTOSAR Adaptive Systems
The AUTOSAR Adaptive Platform is a future-proof basis for automotive ECUs. A key advantage of the new standard is the ability to develop ECU applications independently of one another in distributed work groups. TA Tool Suite provides the possibility to analyze traces recorded on AUTOSAR Adaptive systems.
Timing and Performance Analysis in AUTOSAR Adaptive Systems
TA.Inspection provides the possibility to analyze traces recorded on AUTOSAR Adaptive systems. By visualizing the recorded trace file in Gantt charts and trace views, it is possible to gain a deep understanding of the temporal behavior within the system. This includes the analysis of the process schedule, interferences by interrupts and the parallel execution of threads.
Timing metrics calculated based on the recorded trace measure the responsiveness, execution time and activation scheme of the application software. Hardware resource metrics such as CPU load provide insights into the overall utilization and point outburst situations. From the combination of these key metrics, a good overall picture of the quality of the AUTOSAR Adaptive System is obtained.
Timing and performance needs and requirements can be specified and validated with the help of constraints which can be defined on entities like cores, processes, and interrupts. This is especially useful if the system is to be tested automatically in a CI/CD pipeline.
