Vector offers a D-PDU API standardized programming interface library for accessing Vector bus interfaces from customer-specific applications for diagnostics and flashing. The programming interface is specified in ISO 22900-2. It abstracts from the diagnostic protocol and from the bus interface hardware (the VCI, Vehicle Communication Interface). For this reason it is ideally suited for customer-specific applications. In addition, the D-PDU API forms the basis for the diagnostic server ("D-Server") according to ISO 22900-3.

Combined with the Vector interface hardware, the Vector PassThru XL Library provides a J2534 compliant PassThru interface/device. Simultaneously, a Vector tool such as CANoe or CANape can be operated over the same network interface.
The RP1210 API is an open interface between Windows-based applications and in-vehicle communication networks. This interface offers functionality for bus systems as well as for higher layer protocols. Its areas of use are very diverse and depend on the implemented application. The RP1210 specification was developed as a “Recommended Engineering and Maintenance Practice” by the Technology & Maintenance Council (TMC) of the American Trucking Association (ATA). Especially in the USA, voluntary conformance to this recommended practice has gained the support of commercial trucking companies, OEMs and suppliers.
The XL-Driver-Library is a universal programming interface you can use to create your own applications while accessing Vector’s powerful network interfaces.
The following bus systems are supported: CAN / CAN FD, LIN, FlexRay, Automotive Ethernet, MOST, ARINC.
