Developing and testing ADAS algorithms in the automotive domain is very challenging in the sense of the different skills required to have the algorithm correct from mathematics and physics point of view, then correctly translated into software implementation, then correctly built into an embedded application that runs over a limited set of memory and CPU resources. Usually researchers develop their “raw” algorithms in terms of mathematical equations or scripts, then algorithm developers implement this into executable code that can be simulated or tested on a PC environment.
