VectorCAST: How to Qualify Standard Libraries in Safety Critical Applications

Most functional safety standards require that C and C++ standard libraries that run on the target are qualified. Learn how the combined solutions from Solid Sands and Vector can be used to qualify and validate these standard libraries.

The C and C++ standard libraries have well understood specifications. Solid Sands has test suites that provide a detailed breakdown of the library specifications into the requirements that must be met by an implementation of the library. Each requirement is matched with a test specification that describes how the requirement is verified by one or more tests.

VectorCAST/QA can be used to instrument the C and C++ standard libraries to drive code coverage during the specification testing.

In this joint webinar, we will demonstrate how this combination of code coverage from VectorCAST/QA and the library requirements testing that Solid Sands provides can be used to qualify the C and C++ standard libraries for use in safety critical applications.
