Automotive Diagnostics on Ethernet – an Overview of ISO 13400

Referred to as “Diagnostics over Internet Protocol” (DoIP), ISO 13400 defines a standard implementation for running UDS (Unified Diagnostic Services – ISO 14229) over an Ethernet network. This webinar will review the functionality of ISO 13400 as it relates to the diagnosis of a vehicle connected directly to a tester via Ethernet, or diagnosis of a vehicle located somewhere in a large network of vehicles. As Ethernet connections within the vehicle become much more common, the connection to external diagnostic tools via Ethernet is also becoming more commonplace.
