CANoe 15 SP2 Online Installer

Online installer for the 64 bit variant of version 15. Requires an internet connection and will let you download options + components interactively.

With Service Pack 2, the following changes become effective:



    • Support of the free MinGW compilers for  code generation
    • Support of SOME/IP signals

  • Graphics window

    • In XY mode, a measuring point can now also be drawn exclusively as a function of the Y value

  • Logging

    • Header comments are now also supported in the signal-based MDF logging format

  • Testing

    • With the new I/O COM Server you can now also generate I/O configurations programmatically via the CANoe COM interface
    • Increase of the capturing performance of the ASAM XIL API


  • Security Manager

    • CANoe Security Integrator upgrades existing node layer configurations to vModule
    • Automatic scaling when using multiple monitors

  • TLS

    • Provision of multiple PSK keys in one security profile, Server selects the appropriate key

ADAS Feature Set

  • The Scene Window can be synchronized with other analysis windows.
  • In the Trace Window specific columns for ADAS are available.
  • Scenario Editor:

    • One or more measuring tapes can be inserted to measure distances. The ends of the measuring tapes can also be attached to ITS stations to measure distances in chronological sequence.
    • Routes can be duplicated.
    • Image files can be used as map material.

Option .Ethernet

  • Core functionality:

    • It is possible to change SOME/IP connections to TLS connections in the Simulation Setup with the help of CAPL callbacks. In the Communication Setup it was already possible to configure this using the Model Editor.
    • The SOME/IP IL can be instructed to send a specific unicast endpoint option when subscribing multicast-only events.
    • The IKEv2 protocol is described in the help.

  • Communication Concept:

    • When importing a Fibex database, the binding is automatically activated.
    • Network-based mode settings are preserved when switching the functional endpoint state.
    • Service discovery for multicast only events are accepted even if a unicast option is sent that is not qualified in the communication model.
    • The parameter qualifier path and SOME/IP length field are checked for validity.

  • Network-based access:

    • The TC8 sample configuration is now using the network-based mode.
    • Ports contained in logging files are displayed when they are loaded into a Trace Window or when they are used in Offline Mode (Extended Ethernet Logging should be enabled when logging).
    • It is possible to disable port creation for Test Units and Test Modules.

  • Protocol Monitor:

    • It is now possible to hide networks and nodes with one click.
    • All connections of an endpoint are listed in the detailed view.
    • The performance of the protocol monitor has improved and sporadic problems with an elongated graphical overview are fixed.

Option .Car2x

  • Security: The calculation of HashedId8 for certificates with 256bit key and 384bit signature has been corrected.
  • Application Messages (EU): Support of the Collective Perception Message (CPM) according to ETSI TR 103 562 V2.1.1 2019-12.
  • Map Window:

    • The use of image files as map material has been described in the help.
    • The visualization of the MAP has been corrected for the Chinese application message.

  • Scenario Editor:

  • Car2x Interaction Layer:

    • In the Chinese protocol DSMP, the Application Identifier (AID) can also be set with two bytes in length.
    • In the European protocol (in case of cyclic transmission or active stack), the Sequence Number in the GeoNetworking Extended Header is incremented for all multi-hop GeoNetworking packets together (according to ETSI EN 302 636-4-1 V1.3.1).

  • Completely revised demo "Tire Pressure Monitoring System" describes new approaches to testing J1939 devices
  • Fleet Management System (FMS): updated database FMS.dbc contains 26 new messages, largely complies with the current standard FMS 4.0 and therefore allows easy simulation and analysis of FMS communication
  • New demo "J1939 Gateway" shows several approaches for the realization of a J1939 gateway


  • File Server window: FS window supports passive mode by monitoring bus traffic and reflects the state of a real file server on the network based on the received messages.
  • ISO11783 IL: New CAPL function Iso11783IL_DeleteVersion() generates a "Delete Version" message whose content corresponds to the supported VT version.


  • Bus statistics data (bus load, peak load, frames/sec, frames (total) and error (total)) are stored in automatically generated system variables. The system variables can be accessed in data and graphic windows as well as in CAPL nodes.

VT System

  • Support of the General Purpose Analog Module VT2816A (successor of VT2816)
  • Sensor Fault Injection: For the PSI5SENTpiggy of VT2710 there are now also open line breaks available for ECU+ / Sensor+ and SENT VDD
  • The Inter Board Communication (IBC) between User FPGA modules can now also be used by Matlab/Simulink projects
  • Bugfix for the CAN High/Low relay on channels 1 and 2 of VT6104A and VT6204
