vSECC: Communication Controller for Charging Stations
vSECC (Supply Equipment Communication Controller) is a communication controller for charging stations. It serves as a communication interface between the electric vehicle, the Charging Station Management System (CSMS) and the power electronics.
The vSECC supports electric vehicle charging communication over CCS (Combined Charging System), CHAdeMO (Japanese Charging Consortium), GB/T (Chinese Charging Standard) and controls the power electronics that provide AC or DC for charging. The typical use cases are public EV charge points, charge points in fleet depots, companies, residential facilities and charge points for opportunity charging (e.g. wireless charging, pantographs with external WiFi module).
Compliant with common electric vehicle charging standards
Supports OCPP 2.0 (Errata and in future 2.0.1) for the backend communication via Ethernet
Managing two charge points in parallel
24 V industrial power supply
SIL 2 capable in control pilot and proximity pin supervision
