Charging by Pantograph

Unlike passenger cars, electrically powered commercial vehicles have special performance requirements: as capital assets, they contribute to revenue generation in the long term. Therefore, they should be in use without a break as far as possible. Charging times must therefore be kept short, which requires high performance. Plug-in charging systems currently reach their limits here, as the transmission power is limited for reasons of cross-section and weight. Pantographs can provide a solution.

The Vector Controllers are perfect for your prototyping and development projects. They are also available in high quantities for test fleets and small series productions. Together with the MICROSAR basic software it forms a complete package with full functionality. The open ECU is also capable to host your individual software.

VC-EVCC

ECU for Inlet Charging (CCS1 and CCS2)

VC-EVCC: Generic Charging ECU for 24V environments.

The Vector Controller - Electric Vehicle Communication Controller (VC-EVCC) is a generic charging control unit for 24V environments. It realizes electrical charging according to DIN SPEC 70121 and ISO 15118 for power line communication (PLC). The VC-EVCC provides the perfect interface for prototype vehicles and development environments. It can also be carried over into your series vehicle right away.

The ECU is ideally suited for electric commercial vehicles.

VC-EVCC supports inlet charging for charging standard CCS-1 (Combo 1 Inlets) as well as CCS-2 (Combo 2 Inlets). The ECU is therefore compatible for the European as well as the US market. In addition, plug and charge allows easy authentication for electric vehicles.

ECU for Pantograph Charging

VC-EVCC-P supports charging via pantograph.

The Vector Controller - Electric Vehicle Communication Controller for Pantograph (VC-EVCC-P) is a generic charging control unit for 24V vehicle electrical systems. The ECU supports the charging of electric vehicles via roof-mounted pantographs. 

 

 

VC-EVCC-P: Available for series production.

The executed CAN channel with the standardized J1939 high-level communication for the industrial vehicle market offers a fast connection to the vehicle. Diagnostic messages are supported according to DM1, DM13 and the J1939 network management.

The Vector Controller - Vehicle Charge Control Unit (VC-VCCU) is a generic charging control unit. With its integrated functionality for charging via Powerline Communication (PLC), it provides the perfect interface for prototype vehicles and development environments per DIN SPEC 70121 and ISO 15118. It can also be carried over into your series vehicle right away.

VC-VCCU handles standardized communication between electric buses and the charging infrastructure via Powerline Communication (PLC).
