Vector Controller Now Supports Charging via Roof-Mounted Pantographs

The VC-EVCC-P supports the charging of electric commerical vehicles via roof-mounted pantographs. The range of possible applications of this ECU is thus greatly extended.

VC-EVCC-P supports charging via pantographs installed on the roof of the vehicle.

In addition to charging with an inverted pantograph according to OppCharge V1.3.0, the new software release 3.0.0 enables the Vector Controller VC-EVCC-P for charging via roof-mounted pantographs.

Furthermore, VC-EVCC-P now supports dual-ECU mode. Thus it can be installed together with the separately available ECU VC-VCCU for inlet-charging. Both new features give OEMs and their customers a maximum of flexibility for the charging of commercial vehicles.

Features:

  • Charging Communication

    • via CAN-WiFi-Gateway according to OppCharge
    • for roof-mounted pantograph (RMP) application

  • Configurable Source Addresses and Charge Node Selection for the usage in combination with a VC-VCCU

Changes:

  • No more monitoring of the current capability of the charging cable
  • Debouncing of CP state configurable via UDS
  • The configuration of the 2.4GHz band non-conform to OppCharge is no longer possible
