VX0312 – Network Interface for Ethernet/BroadR-Reach and CAN
The VX0312 is a Ethernet / BroadR-Reach USB adapter with integrated CAN-FD-connection developed to meet automotive requirements. XCP on Ethernet or XCP on BroadR-Reach devices can quickly and reliably be connected via the VX0312 to a computer having a measurement and calibration software installed.
Advantages
- No Windows firewall or network configuration is necessary when used as Ethernet / BroadR-Reach interface with the measurement and calibration tool CANape
- Standard Ethernet (100 Mbit / 1000 Mbit) and BroadR-Reach (100 Mbit) via just one RJ45 connection (auto detection)
- Additional CAN high-speed channel (ISO CAN FD capable)
- Windows network driver (NDIS) enables use as a standard network adapter
- Open interface for third-party tools with the XL-Driver-Library (CAN and Ethernet)
- Host connection via USB 2.0 Hi-Speed (20 MB/s)
- Power supply via USB
- High flexibility by FPGA hardware architecture
- Rugged housing, simple power supply and wide temperature range makes it ideal for the automotive environment or other industrial applications
Functions
- Windows network driver (NDIS) for operating the Ethernet / BroadR-Reach interface as a regular network adapter for tools without XL-Driver support
- Precise time-synchronization between CAN and Ethernet messages
- In CANape, XCP on Ethernet or XCP on BroadR-Reach devices can be used without changes to the Windows network or firewall settings
- XL-Driver support for the integration in third-party products for operation without Windows network and Firewall setting
- Windows network driver (NDIS) for operating the Ethernet / BroadR-Reach interface as a regular network adapter for tools without XL-Driver support
- DoIP Activation Line as an alternative assignment on the CAN connector
Diagnostics & ECU Flashing

For the use case diagnostics and flashing, the VX0312 interface with the OBD cable DoIP/CAN B1 serves as Vehicle Communication Interface (VCI). In addition, with Indigo and vFlash the user gets a powerful diagnostic interface for vehicle diagnostics and ECU flashing via CAN and DoIP.
Advantages:
- One hardware diagnostic interface (VCI) for Ethernet and DoIP with fitting connector for vehicle access.
- Compact design for field testing and mobile applications, rugged aluminum housing
- Easy configuration for diagnostics with the help of Vector Hardware Configuration
- Optimal price/performance ratio
