Contains the complete installation of DaVinci Developer 4.2.22. For the operation a license of version 4.2 or higher is necessary. In case an according license is already activated on your PC no further renewal of this activation is necessary. This release is only relevant for AUTOSAR 4. AUTOSAR 3 is supported by DaVinci Developer Version 3.7 or previous releases.

With Version 4.2 Build 22, the following changes become effective:

NOTE

This release will upgrade existing DaVinci DEV 3.x workspaces to a newer format.

For creating/updating projects with DaVinci Configurator, the latest Service Pack of the according DaVinci Configurator 5 version is required.

DaVinci Developer 4.2 is only available as a 64-bit executable, i.e. Windows 32-bit is no longer supported.

Tool features

  • AUTOSAR schema 4.3.1 is now supported
  • Formatted A2L display string field at the data-types is now available
  • New Assistant to create NV-Block descriptions based on NV-Ports
  • For a variant design where a cluster exists only in certain variants the variation point on the cluster itself is now supported
  • Port-Interface Mappings can now be specified for Application Data-Types
  • Design with Service Proxy Components is now supported

Usability enhancements

  • A notification dialog is now shown at tool startup if the tool license expires within the next 14 days
  • The data type mapping dialog now allows filtering of already mapped application data types
  • The "Show in" functionality to select an object in the Object Browser is now available from within the find view or the difference view

Fixed issues

  • Packages couldn't be moved by Drag&Drop within the ObjectBrowser's Package View
  • The workspace couldn't be saved resp. the save button was still active if the realization of a component type was changed
  • No objects were found when searching for a string with wildcards in the Find-Dialog
  • Graphic data was lost when a component type was renamed or moved into a different package
  • In some situations, the properties window threw the error "Object reference not set to an instance of an object."
  • Bitfields greater than 31 bits cannot be defined in the dialog and threw the error "Value was either too large or too small for Int64. (code 0x80131516)"
  • ECU-Composition's XML Export command was disabled
  • The Data-Type Mapping Set used the wrong Icon in the ObjectBrowser
  • Trying to open an invalid workspace path didn't remove the entry from the recent file list
