2010-07-28: CANoe 7.2 SP5 incl. FlexRay, MOST, VT System, IP and ISO11783
Download With Service Pack 5 (update to 7.2 build 72), the following changes become effective:
General:
- FDX: The FDX (Fast Data eXchange) protocol enables easy, fast, and low latency data exchange between CANoe and other systems via Ethernet based on UDP/IP. A HIL system, e.g., can use the protocol for read/write access to system variables, environment variables, and bus signals of CANoe. In addition, it is possible to send control commands (e.g., for starting and stopping the measurement) to CANoe or to receive status information via FDX.
- VN8900: CANoe now supports the new device familiy VN8900. VN8900 is a compact high-performance device, which combines ease of use (plug & play via USB) with real-time capabilities. For that purpose in CANoe the real-time-relevant parts of the simulation and test environment are executed on the VN8900 device (as known from CANoe RT).
- Standalone mode: CANoe now offers a standalone mode. In standalone mode you can download the realtime-specific portions of a configuration to an external device (e.g. VN8900 and CANoe RT Server) and to execute them without a connection to the user PC. You can set up the device so that measurement begins as soon as it is switched on.
Diagnostic Feature Set:
- Re-Use of previously defined diagnostic services between basic diagnostic ECUs (Import & Export of service descriptions in the Basic Diagnostics Editor)
- Diagnostic repsonses with multiple DIDs can now be interpreted in the Trace Window (UDS "MayBeCombined")
Test Feature Set, XML-Testmodules:
- Usage of value tables for system variables and environment variables enabled (comfortable parameterization possible since Test Automation Editor 2.0)
- On execution of test case instances, the external references are reported, too.
- Test Pattern <diagservice>: Usage of indexedbyte now possible.
- Call of CAPL: Unsigned integers can now be used in the argument list.
- Integration of Test Automation Editor 2.0: Update of environment on changes corrected.
Option .CAN, BAP:
- Parameters of the type TString_6Bytes are now supported
Option .MOST:
- MOST50: The die PCI card of SMSC is now supported as bus interface for high performance simulations and tests, e.g. as needed for MOST High Protocol tests.
- MOST High Protocol observer: The tolerances of each timing or counter parameter of MHP can now be configured separately. This allows for an even more precise adaptation to real ECUs. Thereby well known error situations can be tolerate more easily, whereas critical timing violations are as strictly reported by the protocol observer as in earlier versions.
- The standalone mode of CANoe RT is now also supported for MOST applications. In this use case the simulations or test scripts are processed on a dedicated real time platform. This is independant of the user interface of CANoe and the scripts previously downloaded are executed automatically after bootup is finished. This is especially attractive in combination with Vector's new bus interface VN8900. VN8900 can be operated without PC at all and serves as execution platform for simulation and test scripts. For use cases with MOST, VN2610 can be connected to the VN8900 and a MOST configuration can be downloaded to the VN8900.
Option .FlexRay:
- FlexRay ISO 10681-2 TP: Multiple connections can transmitt over the same FlexRay slot; Support of a second ECU address.
- The key slot (CAPL FrSetKeySlot) can be configured in onPreStart
VT System:
- Support for the real-time module VT6000: Execution of real-time critical parts of CANoe in the VT System.
- Support for the network module VT6104: CAN/LIN network interfaces in the VT System; Fault injection like breaks or short-circuits.
- Support for the extension module VT7900: Adding application-specific modules to the VT System.
Option .IP:
- Ethernet IL / Packet API: The payload of DoIP packets can be accessed again.
- Ethernet IL + Ethernet Packet Builder: A UDP checksum calculated to 0x0000 is set to 0xFFFF.
- Remote CAN Analysis: DLC issue with RM CANlink WLAN and RM CANview Ethernet is fixed.
Option .ISO11783:
- ISO11783 Nodelayer: The parameter group PD (0xCB00) / Working-Set Task Message is sent with the first four bytes filled with all 0xFF now.
