With MICROSAR FEE (part of the package MICROSAR MEM), you do not already need to know today which nonvolatile data your application software will require tomorrow. Vector is the first supplier to extend its AUTOSAR Flash EEPROM Emulation to specifically address this issue.
After flashing the new application software with a modified configuration of nonvolatile data blocks, the new version of the MICROSAR FEE module automatically converts the existing flash data. When data structures change, users also have the option of intervening in the conversion process themselves.
Another benefit of the new version of MICROSAR FEE relates to your ECU’s resources: The same MICROSAR FEE module can be used by either the Flash Bootloader (FBL) or the application software. They can even share a common nonvolatile data area without the application data area needing to remain identical throughout the ECU’s life. MICROSAR FEE lets you change application data blocks each time the new application software is flashed without having to modify the FBL.
