Version History
2010-04-21: CANape 8.0 SP4
This service pack has been replaced by SP5. Please contact our support team if you require a previous version.
With Service Pack 4, the following changes become effective (SP1, SP2, and SP3 are contained):
Improved user operation and display:
- The physical value is always used to visualize the speed in the GPS window.
- Measurement cursor in digital windows support integer signals up to 64 bits
- Values of signals are displayed in the legend of graphic windows even if drawing of the signal curve is disabled.
- Y scaling of signals in Bar windows can be set to a smaller range than 10 even if an integer signal is displayed decimal.
- Value displays of Panel windows are cleared if the selected data source not provides this signal.
- Scripts started by HTML code via URL are not added permanently to the task manager.
- Faster loading and saving of configurations with MATLAB Model Browser windows and a very big MATLAB model.
- Problem fixed during execution of script function Fprint() if an input parameter is null.
- Problem fixed after partial loading of configurations containing common Y axis.
- Improved handling of "switch display pages" to deny that the toolbars are disabled in special cases
- Scripts started by a Panel button will use the optionally defined current device.
Communication protocol:
- Fixed issue which prevented measurements using ES4xx IO modules
- Fixed configuration issue affecting CAN monitor devices
- Fixed issue affecting user defined XCP communication
- Support BUSDOCTOR firmware 1.8.4
Extended measurement data acquisition:
- Some critical script functions are disabled if the script is executed by a Macro.
- Signals measured with a single event mode like "On measurement start" are stored in the next trigger block of recorders even if their time stamp is outside the trigger time window.
- Problem fixed if multiple recorders access ECU variables during resolving Macros for measurement file comments.
Calibration:
- Improved parameter persistency for permanent offline mode
- Improvements for memory segments imported from specific A2L files
- CCP/XCP: check active calibration page when going online
Offline analysis of measurement files:
- Synchronization of external captured video data and logged CAN messages.
- Size limit of local array variables in scripts is increased to 64 KB
- ASCII export converter: Export of measurement files takes into consideration the count of digits during formatting of the time stamps.
Database:
- PDB Map Reader extended: Support of bit structures, enumerations and nested arrays.
- Problem fixed in the Linker MAP Reader in case of some special COFF map files.
- IEEE Map Reader imports enumerations as verbal conversion tables even if there is already a same named conversion table.
- Problem fixed when reading a corrupt OMF Map file.
- Linker MAP references stored in a CANAPE_EXT Blob of a A2L file will be imported even the AML description of the BLOB is different to the description of the current device.
Calibration data management (Parameter sets & CDM Studio):
- During the Save and Flash process a warning is generated if a parameter crosses the borders of two adjacent memory segments.
- The script method Device.LoadParameterset supports now maps with dynamic dimension correctly.
- Fixed issue when reading the configuration of the CDM-Studio window layout.
- Performance improvements in writing CDF20 file which includes MAPs with a big number of axis points.
- The feature "Export filter content..." improved, to support generation of parameter set file for parameters which are only visible in child filter
- Fixed issue when copying certain parameters of ASCII type in context of CDM-Studio.
- If a parameter is read only the menu item "Set dimension" is disabled.
- New download to ECU feature for the current device column in the CDM-Studio
- Improved handling of feature "Merge parameter sets" in CDM-Studio to support the option "create a new parameter set".
- GUI improvements for the generic report component of CDM-Studio to enable selection of post process file.
- Improved support of Japanese characters in calibration history
- Fixed wrong address calculation of parameters in case of A2L file version 1.6 which includes the SYMBOL_LINK Tag.
- Improved handling of application history during the copy and paste operations.
Extended MATLAB/Simulink support:
- All Model Explorer graphic files are listed in the Project Management dialog.
Diagnostics:
- Fixed variant coding window issue
- Fault memory: Environment (freeze frame) data can be logged when option "DTC details" is enabled
- Fixed issue affecting measurement start
Advanced Multimedia:
- Enhanced frame grabber support.
