With Service Pack 2, the following changes become effective (SP1 is contained):

New Features:

  • Support of the operating system Windows 7 32 Bit.
  • Kvaser Memorator logging files (.kme files) can be imported.
  • Improved Data Mining functionality (see online help).
  • Support mp4 video format for offline analysis.
  • Advanced Multimedia: New GFX object Polynomial: y = a*a2 + b*b2*x + c*c2*x2 + d*d2*x3.
  • Support of GPS receiver ublox "AEK-4H".
  • 20kHz sample rate with ES611 modules from Etas.
  • Usability of the .NET Panel ActiveX is improved.
  • ASAP2 files coded with UTF8 and byte order mark (BOM) can be read.
  • Fragments of an ASAP2 file can be imported.
  • DSP mode added to the linker map reader for COFF/DWARF map files for the duplication of addresses.
  • New ASCII export converter option: The comment of measurement signals can be used as signal name.
  • The Matlab export converter can export a subset of signals.

  • Improved display of the envelope curve for all zoom factors.
  • CANapeAPI: New functions for resume mode measurement and time sync management.
  • Toolbar button added to toggle an ECU device between calibration RAM and Flash.
  • Improved support of different file extionsions related to MOTOROLA-S format.
  • Added the places bar feature to the CDM Studio file open dialog.
  • Added option to export 2D/3D graphics based on VRML to the HTML report.
  • Improved handling of numerical values, concerning the decimal separator, in EXCEL-Reports.
  • New switches (CANDELA_STMIN_HANDLING_OFFSET, CANDELA_TRANSFER_ACCELERATION) for faster flash programming.

Improved user operation and display:

  • Enhanced Project Management for data mining files.
  • Increased number of files which can be zipped using the Project Management feature.
  • Drawing of the envelope curve for white display window background.
  • Drawing problems concerning printing of display windows fixed.
  • The column settings of graphic windows are saved for every component window.
  • Issue with deleting virtual signals or functions, which are displayed by a data window, solved.
  • Issue fixed if an object is deleted and a setup dialog of a display window is open which contains the deleted object.
  • The Write window content can be exported using absolute time stamps.
  • Persistence of the Seed&Key file selection when the function Browser is closed and reopened.
  • Assignment issue of Graphic window displays to common axis fixed.
  • The correct background color is used if the envelope curve is displayed if some signals are disabled.
  • The scroll bar of the Hex Calibration window works properly.
  • The width of the columns in the display window legend can be changed if the header line is invisible.
  • After loading a second configuration the global cursor is set to the correct time.
  • The measurement file can be changed while file channels are assigned to Stimulation objects.
  • Fixed issue of the sort order of the address column of the measurement configuration browser.
  • Fixed issue concerning the execution of scripts calling subfunctions which return with cancel via panel buttons.
  • Fix of an issue concerning the creation of a project folder on a Japanese Windows Vista.
  • Saving the Function Browsers local setings on a system using UAC(Windows Vista/7).
  • Calibration RAM: Download is performed if defined as default action.
  • Calibration RAM and cache file: Fixed issue which lead to an unconditional upload.
  • Checksum calculation: Improved handling when auto-detection is configured in offline mode and afterwards a flash sequence is initiated.
  • Signals can be enabled and disabled in the graphic window settings dialog. Signals used as X axis are enabled automatically.

Extended measurement data acquisition:

  • Possibility to work with multiple devices if one is set as external time master.
  • Flush mode used by the CANape Server during saving measurement files can be defined in the project file.
  • Issue with measurement data storage in memory on some computers with multiple cores fixed.
  • Option "Do not measure polled signals if display windows are minimized or invisible" supported for measured calibration parameters.
  • DAQ: Improved handling of large DAQ lists.
  • Fixed display of memory consumption at measurement configuration for arrays.
  • Support the creation of parameter sets from measurement files also for maps with dynamic axis points.

Communication protocol:

  • CCP logging: Command SET_S_STATUS is added to the logger configuration.
  • Tracing logged messages: Functionality improved.
  • XCP: Fixed issues which affected tracing of Motorola ECUs during flashing.
  • XCP: Fixed issue which blocked CANape in case of error response FE 24.
  • XCP on FlexRay: Display warning message "Inconsistent buffer/frame payload length" in write window .
  • CAN Monitor: Fixed asynchronous start.
  • XCP on FlexRay: Possibility to go online after communication error.
  • CCP logging: Commands START_STOP and START are added to the logger configuration.
  • XCP on FlexRay: Improved usability of buffer settings configuration within driver settings.
  • XCP on FlexRay: Fixed issue which lead to wrong static frame sizes.
  • XCP tracing: Fixed display of command GET_DAQ_PROCESSOR_INFO.
  • FlexRay: Possibility of going online after a short physical disconnect.
  • XCP on FlexRay: Fixed FIBEX file configuration issue.
  • Seed & Key: Resources are unlocked during CONNECT sequence.
  • FlexRay logging: Automatical naming of log file.

Offline analysis of measurement files:

  • Fixed error message in case of envelope curve calculation for virtual Matlab signals with multiple function results.
  • Solved Redraw problem of multiple graphic windows on some computers with multiple cores.
  • Array signal elements from measurement files can be used for X/Y displays.
  • Converter setting "overwrite existing target = false" is accepted if the converter is started for the second time by a script.
  • Support of interpolation of signal values by the MATLAB and the ASCII export converter.
  • Fixed error message in case of envelope curve calculation for imported measurement files.
  • Default settings of the ASCII export converter are changed in case of an english version.
  • Logging import converter does not create MDF files bigger than 4 GB.
  • Trigger events are also saved if signals from a graphic window are saved in an MDF file.
  • Sample Reduction is supported for measurement files with virtual time channels.
  • The Vector logging import converter supports time stamps and time syncronisation for CCP/XCP DAQ messages.
  • Persistent assignment of virtual MDF signal input parameters to parameters if a calibration window containing these parameters is closed.
  • Temporary files created for unsorted and write protected measurement files are deleted.

Database:

  • Correct handling of 64-Bit integer variables in ASAP2 file version 1.50
  • Correct writing of ASAP2 files with verbal conversion tables created from an enumeration in an IEEE linker map file.
  • The message about a changed database mask is not shown anymore if nothing has been changed during the address update process.
  • Issue fixed in the Database Editor that the MAP file entry tree is not always added.
  • Some problems during drag&drop of structures in the Database Editor are fixed.
  • Map Reader component for COFF files supports different drives.
  • Fixed issue of the Linker Map Reader, which sporadically prevents reading COFF/DWARF map files.
  • Prohibit measurement or calibration objects with a third dimension.
  • Plausibility check of db files detects inconsistency in axis defintion.
  • Values of fixed axis of ASAP2 files can have more than three digits.
  • All included database files are saved in the original location if the main database file is not located in the current working directory.

Calibration data management (Parameter sets & CDM Studio):

  • Fixed issue with rule based copying related to parameters which are not defined in the source parameter set.
  • Improved handling of snapshots in CDM Studio: Deny the actions copy&paste, modify value and delete a parameter in a snapshot.
  • Support of japanese characters in the generic report component.
  • Support of japanese characters in the calibration history overwiew.
  • Fixed problem which occurred if a parameter that is not described in the A2L file is deleted from the parameter set
  • Unneccessary messages removed which occurred in combination with parameter sets containing parameters referencing database descriptions with indirect addressing mode.
  • Fixed issue in merge parameter set feature, which disabled the copying of parameters.
  • Fixed issue with redo/undo functionality of the CDM Studio in case of working with parameters which are opened without a A2L.
  • CDM Studio: issue with saving CDF20 files which are created by INCA is fixed. Under some circumstances the modifications were not written back.
  • Directory settings of parameter set files and database description files can be independent from the project directory.
  • Improved snapshot generation and tracking of changes considering the use case save&flash
  • Issue with the CANCEL button on the post process dialog of the CDM Studio is fixed.
  • Support of parameters crossing multiple application RAM segments.
  • Adapted the search dialog in the user defined filter dialog of the CDM Studio to screen size 1024x768
  • Fixed issue in the HTML report generation which occurred if a parameter with an undefined number of digits was reported in case of activated VRML.
  • Improved support of virtual and dependent parameters in all CANape/CDM Studio use cases.
  • Improved handling of CDM Studio filters to display the correct content in case of variant codded parameter sets.

Extended MATLAB/Simulink support:

  • Create valid global variable names during auto linkage of MATLAB/Simulink DLL inputs/outputs.

Diagnostics:

  • Improved handling of periodical transmission of functional addressed TesterPresent requests.
  • Fault Memory: Problems displaying text in Chinese OS windows fixed.
  • The base variant is used as default variant for all means of creating a new device.
  • Online state in diagnostic console, fault memory, and OBD window is updated consistently.
  • Trace window displays services executed for variant identification.
  • Fixed issue with invalid value ranges of block size and STmin parameters.

Data Mining:

  • Persistent assignment of virtual Matlab signals to the function result in the Data Mining explorer.

Automation:

  • CANapeAPI: CAN device function "Asap3CreateModule" was improved to avoid assignment problems.
