With Service Pack 6 (update to 7.2 build 89), the following changes become effective:

VN8900:

  • Standalone mode on VN8900 devices is now also supported in CANalyzer. Blocks (CAPL, channel filters, message filters) defined in the receive or transmit branch can be executed on the device without a PC running CANalyzer being attached.
  • Standalone operation of a VN8900 can also be configured with a separate tool called Standalone Manager. This tool is delivered with CANalyzer and can be installed on any other computer without the need for a CANalyzer license. Standalone configuration files which have been exported from CANalyzer be downloaded to a VN8900 with the Standalone Manager. Furthermore operations like measurement start/stop and standalone mode activation/deactivion can be done.
  • LEDs on the VN8900 can now be switched in CAPL code and keys pressed on the VN8900 can be handled.
  • It is now possible to set date and time on a connected VN8900.

Option .LIN:

  • New LIN template for CANalyzer

Option .MOST:

  • The protocol attribute PIndex of MOST150 messages can now be accessed via a CAPL selector. This attribute is additionally visible in the column 'Counter' in the trace window.
  • The new hardware variant of the Optolyzer G2, with modified chip order, is now supported.
  • Logging File Formats: Import and Export of IMG files now also supports MOST50; The interpretation of the OP2 format was improved in regard of light & lock event handling.
