With Service Pack 2, the following changes become effective:

General:

• Trace window improvements:
  • Messages with different multiplexors can be displayed in fixed mode position of the Trace window as separate rows. This function enhances the clarity when working with multiplexor signals. In the global configuration dialog you can set this functionality for CAN based protocols and FlexRay.
  • The default setting for displaying signals has been changed to sorting by startbit.
  • Display of system variables with namespaces in offline mode
  • The fixed position mode now shows more lines
• Value Tables can be assigned to system variables of type Integer-Array, too.
• You can now use the Window menu to easily create screenshots of the windows.
• Global Markers can now be used also in the Graphics Window (as in the State Tracker).
• The panel converter from old Editor panels to modern Designer panels now creates conversion problem messages with more to ease reoperation.
• The Vector Real Time Boost (VRTB) enables VN8900 users to create CAPL programs with improved real-time-behavior.
• Support for partial network operation in the new AUTOSAR modeling DLL's for network management based on AUTOSAR standard 3.2.

Test Feature Set:

• Testmodules are now able to publish the current run state into a system variable. The system variable is intended to be displayed in State Tracker Window, for example.
• Stimuli functions Stm* are now supported even in the distributed CANoeRT environment.
• Inconsistencies between test execution dialog and test report, that occured rarely on measurement stop via COM, are now solved.

BAP:

• The Trace window provides an analysis filter for BAP messages. Trace contents can be filtered by drag & drop of BAP messages into the Trace-Analysis Filter. The filters then can be configured in order to filter all messages of a certain logical device, a certain function etc. Heartbeat messages can be shown or hidden on the press of a button.
• Several SW configuration files can now be assigned to a CAN channel to accumulate a complete system description from these files

Option .MOST:

• MOST150: Ethernet-Spy can now separately be enabled/disabled to avoid overload with very busy Ethernet channel. Trace window now shows more details of message fragments.
• S/PDIF Ports of VN2610 (MOST25) and VN2640 (MOST150) can now be controled from MOST Audio window.
• FBlockMonitor: User defined views can now be exported to a file and reused in new configurations.

Option .XCP:

• New filter and search possibilities to support you selecting measurement object from A2L file.
• Supporting now the optional XCP command "Short Upload" to make uploads from ECU more efficient.

Option .AMD

• With generic measurement it is possible to measure BSW (AUTOSAR Basic Software) variables via the XCP protocol without updating the address information. The variables addresses will be calculated inside the ECUs XCP driver, with that your A2L file could stay untouched during the development process. To use generic measurement the AUTOSAR BSW and the XCP driver must support this feature.

Option .Car2x:

• Option Car2x is available as demo version
• Manual for open interface between CANoe.Car2x and WLAN device is available at http://www.vector.com/vi_car2x_interfaces_en.html.
• Connection to WLAN device: improved robustness regarding high packet load
• WLAN Hardware Configuration dialog: indication of available WLAN devices and WLAN interfaces
• WLAN Packet Builder: multiple packets can be copied from trace window to WLAN Packet Builder; WLAN interface's MAC-Id can be used for packet configuration.

Option .IP:

• CANoe RT: improved path handling for signal protocol DLL
• Issue with logfiles containing more channels than configured resolved
• IP Filter Block: improved GUI and usability
• Ethernet Packet Builder:
  • field DoIP payload length (doip.length) integrated in length calculation
  • storage of window's name in configuration file
  • improved GUI and usability
• Interactive Generator Block Ethernet:
  • improved GUI and usability
  • storage of window's name in configuration file
• Ethernet Interaction Layer: more than one socket connection possible at the same time.

Option .J1939:

• Trace Window: multiplexed parameter groups can be displayed individually for each multiplexer value
• DTC Monitor: parameter group DM22 - Individual Data Clear/Reset (PG 0xC300) is sent with correct SPN and FMI
• Diagnostic Memory Access: storage of window's name in configuration file
• J1939 Filter Block:
  • node filters can be created without database by configuration of source address or J1939 Device Name
  • channel = "CAN all" is supported
  • Function values below 128 are interpreted independent of Industry Group and System
  • improved display and usability
• J1939 Node Filter:
  • cannot be inserted anymore, the J1939 filter block with parameter group range filter 0x0..0xFFFF can be used instead
  • existing configurations with J1939 node filter are still supported
• Data Window:
  • parameters with modified addressing are moved/copied correctly from graphic window or another data window
  • columns for source and destination address do not appear automatically if removed before
  • improved database connection handling
• Graphic Window:
  • parameters with modified addressing are moved/copied correctly from data window or another graphic window
  • improved database connection handling
• J1939 Test Service Library: Function J1939TestCommand derives source and destination addresses from command or response addresses. If one of the source addresses is not defined, then the destination address of the counter part is used.
• Example database J1939.dbc: factors corrected for parameters EnginesDesiredOperatingSpeed (SPN 515) and EstPercentFanSpeed (SPN 975)

Option .ISO11783:

• Trace Window: multiplexed parameter groups can be displayed individually for each multiplexer value
• ISO11783 Node Layer:
  • new and modified element attributes for Implementaion Level 4
  • Object Pool API: Iso11783OPSetStringValue() results in Change String command with DLC = 8 byte
• Virtual Terminal Window:
  • enhanced user layout mask functionality
  • No empty auxiliary assignments are left after a working set has been deleted.
  • storage of window's name in configuration file
• Interactive Task Controller:
  • new and modified element attributes for Implementaion Level 4
  • storage of window's name in configuration file
• Example database ISO11783.dbc: Minor corrections in parameter groups SCMCC (PGN 0x8E00) and SCCMC (PGN 0x8D00)

Option .J1587:

• Issue with logfiles containing more channels than configured resolved.
