- Which items are essential in submitting my application?
Your application documents should include the following information:- A letter in which you let us know why you would like to work at our company
- Resume in outline form

- Educational documents:

Previous professional employment/activities - Vocational trainees and senior thesis candidates should also let us know which subject areas interest them and the type of training or thesis work they desire.
- Where can I go on the Internet to find out whether a position is still open or has already been taken?
Our posted job openings are constantly being updated. Only those positions that are still open are shown on the Internet. However, you may certainly inquire about your current status in the selection process.
- How long does the application process take (from receipt of my documents until a decision is made)?
Within the first two days of the arrival of your application, you should receive a confirmation that we have received it. You will generally receive feedback on your application within about 4 weeks.
- To whom do I send my application?
If you apply online your documents are automatically forwarded to the appropriate person. If you are sending your application by e-mail or postal mail you can find your contact person here.
- Which prerequisites must I fulfill for an internship?
For many of our internships at Vector you should satisfy the following requirements:- Fundamental programming knowledge (C or C++)
- A structured approach to problem solving
- 4 months minimum duration
- A congenial and open-minded personality
- For the individual internship offers, you will receive concrete demands upon request.
- How long in advance must I apply for a position as an intern or senior thesis candidate?
If you are interested in an internship or thesis work you should make sure that we receive your application approximately 2 months before your desired starting date. Published offers on our homepage will be filled as soon as possible.
- Are internships offered throughout the year?
You can start as an intern at Vector at any time of year, provided that you observe the application waiting period (3-4 months before your desired starting date). Generally internships at Vector last 4-6 months.
- What opportunities are there for senior thesis candidates and interns?
We have about 10 interns or senior thesis positions to award per year. Additionally, there are about 5 work-study internships for students. About 99% of the topics are from development areas.
- Do you offer work-study internship positions to students?
Every year Vector awards about 5 student intern positions in various departments. The emphasis of activities lies in the development areas.
- When are the application deadlines for trainee positions and for university programs?
The selection processes for trainee positions and for the university of cooperative education programs begin approx. 1 year before the start of training or studies. Most applications are received in the months of May through July.
- Will my application also be considered for other posted positions?
Based on your application we generally check to see whether any other positions at our company might be suitable for you. If so, we would contact you about such positions.
- If I have a question of a technical nature, can I contact a representative of the specific technical departement?
Your primary source of information for questions is the human resources department. Should you have more in-depth questions of a technical nature we would be glad to put you in direct contact with the relevant technical department.
