2011-06-14: MICROSAR RTE simplifies “Online Calibration” of your functional software

In test trials of your functional software, the new MICROSAR RTE lets you modify AUTOSAR calibration parameters over XCP, without having to download the software again. In this process, the calibration data is copied from flash to RAM. This copying process is executed during operation and is fully transparent to the functional software. Afterwards, the RTE automatically re-routes the application’s access to this data. You do not need any specific application code anymore. This lets you save a lot of work in developing your AUTOSAR functional software.

The calibration functionality in the MICROSAR RTE conforms to AUTOSAR Release 3.1 and is compatible with all other MICROSAR basic software modules.

The functional software can access calibration parameters by the following methods:

The methods are selected project-specifically when configuring the RTE.

The AUTOSAR calibration parameters are adapted by an external XCP Master, e.g. CANape from Version 10.0, which will be available soon. For this process, CANape requires an A2L file, which the MICROSAR RTE Generator generates automatically.

After the parameter P1 has been calibrated online via XCP, the RTE automatically accesses the new value V1.
