• Issue when opening File menu (EIP12657) Open File menu in operating system without permission to open recent file list
• Issue when sorting revision items (EIP12950) Revision history dialog
• State Defaults page depends on State Group selection in State Dependencies page (EIP13082) In chapter States, page Defaults, show state group selection.
• Size of reserved data objects cannot be set to the maximum allowed size (EIP13220)

User interface improvements

• Select DTC when going from DTC overview to DTC list (EIP12509) Context menu in DTC overview
• Filter for treeview nodes (EIP9754) In list in right side of a diagnostic class tree node, specify a filter for the diagnostic instance names.
• Consistency check only reports first duplicate service prefix (EIP8831)
• Distinguish case in datatype units (EIP13003) Modify unit in datatype property dialog
• Allow copying of path in References dialogs (EIP8092)
• Import Pool synchronization (EIP11531) Import Pool synchronization is available if an ECU non translatable string attribute with qualifier "SynchronizationAttribute" exists and its effective (default or overwritten) value is the qualifier of a string data object attribute. Synchronization allows automatic update of data objects which are identified by that data object attribute.
• Toolbar for actions (step 1) (EIP11926) In actions.ini, associate the qualifier of a given action with the number of the toolbar button (1 - 3), e.g. [ActionToolbar](line-break)ODXExport=3
• Support runtime system "VectorDiagnosticScript" (EIP12978) Combo-box in job pool dialog
• Add command line switch to force demo version (EIP13178) With e.g. CANdelaStudio View edition installed with CANoe, starting a Standard edition demo usually results in starting the View edition (it is preferred over the demo). Starting CANdelaStudio with command line switch /preferDemo starts a demo in this constellation.
• Graphviz > v2.20 is currently not supported (EIP12804) Current graphviz installation does no more set the Windows path variable.
• Provide menu item for Vehicle System Group property dialog in VSG list (EIP12547) Right side displayed for top-level tree node "Vehicle System Groups"
• Place attributes page as rightmost one in property dialogs (EIP13045) E.g. Service property dialog.

Data model Note: as a rule, files saved with CANdelaStudio 6.0 SP 1 must be loadable without migration in CANdelaStudio 6.0 Release. Therefore, the file format cannot be modified. As a workaround, for the following important improvements, additional data is stored in generic attributes.

• Support for COMPARAMS at Services and Jobs (EIP7548) Activate the feature using an option at ECU COMPARAMs in expert mode; the serviceCOMPARAMS are shown in the service property dialog, then
• Allow variable length DIDs (EIP12845) A packet datatype used in a diagClass marked in expert mode to have DID semantics may have variable length.
  Note the warning about using variable length DIDs!
• Associate data objects with all vehicle system groups, not only optional subsystems (EIP13002) Pre-condition: special attribute defined (EIP4250)

ASAM ODX support

• ODX 2.2.0 import completed
• Import selected diagnostic services from an ODX file into a selected variant (EIP8163) ODX import shows a dialog for mapping and de-selecting variants

Expert mode

• Allow to create empty ComInterface (EIP13013) Checkbox at the top of the dialog "New Interface"

Other improvements

• "Grace period" after installation to allow use of CANdelaStudio without activation (EIP11342) After installation, before you activate your license of CANdelaStudio, you can use it for few days without activation.
• Refine location of example data (EIP12714) Create link pointing to sub folder "Examples" in "Start | Programs | Vector CANdelaStudio
• Document upgrade: option to ignore base variant data of new template (EIP12458) If CANdelaStudio.ini contains [DocUpgrade](line-break)DropBaseVariantDataInTemplate=1, before the document upgrade, data of the new template will be dropped (base variant with datatypes and job files)
• Document upgrade: preserve job default parameters (EIP12838)
• Document upgrade: state groups and states are not updated (EIP11961)
• In difference overview: rework identification of diagInstance (EIP8093) if "Check Identifier for Uniqueness" option is deactivated, allow replacing a diagInstance by another instance that has the same identifier.
• Improve DTC import (EIP11066) in DTC import, match column names of the import file first against the qualifiers (as before 6.0 SP 1); if that fails, match against (even part of) the name (in current language).
• Improve DTC import (EIP13303) in DTC import, allow import without having a value for a required field, use default value from column definition instead.
• Forbid pasting of data objects into DID/DPID (EIP12353) In DID or DPID telegram table, preserve consistency of DID / DPID.
• Automatically create data object to satisfy minimum size requirement when creating new DID (EIP8963) Diagnostic class with semantics "DID Definition" set in diagnostic class template (expert mode)
• Improve DPID checks and DPID handling (EIP9500) check that DPIDs contain only valid DID packet data types
• RTF chapter 'Attribute' is output by default (EIP12942) In RTF report, as a default do not write the lengthy attributes chapter.
• Optimize the most time-consuming algorithms in RTF report (EIP12183) Depending on document, export speedup is 15%-40%
• Improve load performance for Tester applications (Step 1) (EIP13005) Do not load pictures, attachments and variant coding keys; speedup depends on document
• Application note for describing 19 04 (EIP11560) Application note describes UDS 19 04 + 19 06 handling for template setup (Expert mode) and data editing (Standard mode), see Vector website (Download center, category "Application notes")

Customer specific

• Support special multi-valued DTC columns (EIP12925) Enabled by defining special attributes.
• Support special diagnostic classes for documentation (EIP12812) Enabled by defining special attributes.
• Loosing modified data inside the text-mask for VCD-default at wrong entries (EIP12472)
