Since 2005, Vector has been comparing itself to the pool of excellent employers in Germany on a regular basis. In 2011, employees decided once again that Vector is a “Great Place to Work” in the anonymously and independently conducted study.
February 23, 2011 was “award day” in Berlin. The European "Great Place to Work" Initiative, together with the Handelsblatt newspaper as sponsor, awarded a quality seal for workplace culture to the 100 best employers in Germany.
Vector attained an excellent 10th place in the category of companies with 501 to 2,000 employees.
At the awards ceremony, Human Resources Director Marcell Amann commented: “This is great feedback. Our corporate culture was able to meet the challenges of a growing competitive field and all of the difficulties that the economic crisis brought to our region and our industry. Employees and management have moved Vector forward with team spirit, fun and commitment. The prize is a great incentive to continue on this path.”
The "Great Place to Work" study is conducted across Europe based on the same model. The organizer, the Great Place to Work Institute of Germany, in cooperation with the “New Quality in Work Initiative” (“INQA” in German) of the Federal Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, surveyed the employees of 297 small, medium and large companies on the aspects of "Credibility", "Respect," "Fairness," "Pride" and "Team orientation." In an audit of corporate culture, the companies’ personnel development actions and strategies were also considered. For more information go to: http://www.greatplacetowork.com or www.handelsblatt.de.
