Diagnostics on FlexRay with CANoe

Diagnostic functionality is usually implemented in the early phases of the FlexRay development process and has to be tested directly using the real ECU. Since no gateway (e.g. to CAN) usually exists at this stage of development, direct access to the ECU via the FlexRay bus is required for diagnostics. With the Diagnostic Feature Set of CANoe.FlexRay it is possible to test the ECU’s diagnostics directly via the FlexRay bus.

Supported transport protocols:

  • AUTOSAR
  • ISO 10681-2
  • OEM-specific

Functions:

  • Diagnostic parameterization
    • via the CANdela database (CDD file) and FIBEX data
      or
    • via ODX and configuration of the transport protocol with CANoe and FIBEX

  • Symbolic display of all diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) including environment data and clearing of fault memory
  • Selection, parameterization and execution of diagnostic services, e.g. read-out and display of identification data
  • Detailed and symbolic display of the executed diagnostic services and their results
  • Visualization of the Diagnostic Requests in the Trace Window via an integrated observer
  • Easy to operate automation interface accessing diagnostic services
  • Automatic detection of the ECU variant
