Using eASEE for system development with automotive producers
A company in the area of E/E development decided to use the eASEE Tool Suite to achieve a significant increase in the quality of its products.
Requirement:
The requirement was for an integrated tool environment to design entire processes while managing relevant data efficiently and consistently.
Solution:
The technical platform of eASEE provides the basic mechanisms for meeting this requirement, for example User Management, Version Management, and Client/Server architecture. The Engineering Data Backbone manages all data that is used in the development process. Advanced functions are available in eASEE for the daily work of engineers, for example interfaces to expert tools, virtual vehicle designs/checks, signal path analysis, and DBC files.
Introduction of the system:
eASEE has been in productive use for 3 years in the E/E development area of the company. The system has been well accepted by the roughly 100 developers due to its uniform Data Backbone.

Using eASEE in the development of transmission
The decisive factors for introducing the eASEE.cdm application data management system to a supplier in the area for development of transmission were high functionality, flexibility, and the potential of the tool. The customers requirements were implemented in a development partnership.
Requirements:
The increasing number of parameters and functions also resulted in a sharp increase in diversity of models. The complexity of projects brought the customer‘s existing internal development to its limits.

You can use eASEE.cdm for flexible central management of all your data. Defined processes are made uniform. Check and test routines are integrated. Mass operations can be performed easily.
Introduction of the system:
The eASEE.cdm module has been in use for 5 years throughout the corporate group. Two pilot projects preceded introduction of the system in 2004 for productive operation. Today, approximately 180 application engineers are working on 20 projects with eASEE.cdm.
Benefits:
Efficient, process-compliant data management with high data quality has resulted in a 90% increase in efficiency for the customer. In this manner, eASEE.cdm contributes significantly to reducing costs in the application.
