FlexRay Workshop

FlexRay Workshop (4 days):

FlexRay in theory and practice: This workshop teaches you the fundamentals of the time-triggered bus system FlexRay. You will also learn about the goals and potential uses of FlexRay as well as the basic principles and technical terms of the protocol. Using the Vector tool CANoe/CANalyzer.FlexRay you will work on a real cluster and conduct measurements, evaluations and simulations. Practical work using a test ECU round out this workshop.

Day 1: FlexRay Fundamentals
Prerequisites: Basic understanding of bus systems

  • Introduction to FlexRay
  • Physical topologies and signal transmission
  • Synchronization
  • Communication structure and bus access
  • Introduction to the FIBEX scheme

Day 2: Introduction CANoe/CANalyzer .FlexRay
Prerequisites: FlexRay fundamentals

  • Adaptation of a FIBEX scheme
  • Motivation
  • Introduction
  • Measurement and analysis
  • Interactive sending

Day 3: Introduction to CANoe Models for FlexRay

  • Motivation for CAPL
  • CAPL fundamentals for FlexRay
  • CANoe Signal Server
  • Working with panels
  • CANoe RT Systems

CANoe.FlexRay in Practice
Prerequisites: Knowledge of analysis, measurements and simulations with CANoe.FlexRay

  • Introduction into the Practice Day
  • Initialization of a FlexRay network
  • Analysis and stimulation of signals
  • Simulation of additional network nodes
  • Checking of Startup/Wakeup Facility

Note: You need basic knowledge of electrical signal processing and serial bus systems to take part in this seminar. If you would like to take part in a respective training, we recommend our introduction seminar "Serial Bus Systems".
