CANape Fundamentals Workshop | 1-3 Days

In the first two day module of this workshop practical use and operation of CANape is emphasized. You will learn how to operate CANape as a measurement and calibration tool. In this context the fundamentals of the CCP/XCP protocol are taught.

In the second module CANape is presented to you as a diagnostic tool. You will be instructed on how to expand CANape functionality with functions and scripts and learn how to analyze large amounts of measurement data efficiently. In detailed exercise phases you have the opportunity to create valuable examples that demonstrate comprehensive utilization of CANape.

CANape Workshop | 1-3 Days

Module 1: CANape Basics

The first day of the class introduces students to the basics of CANape for calibration and data acquisition tasks. Day two covers task automation with functions and scripts as well as CANape’s powerful Calibration Data Management tool, CDM Studio. Features such as designing panels for user interaction, multimedia recording (audio and video), offline analysis of data and data import/export are also covered.

Module 2: CANape Advanced

The one day class focuses advanced topics dealing with CCP and XCP calibration protocols, generating MATLAB/Simulink models, diagnostics, and automation interfaces (COM, MCD3, API), as well as CANape’s other optional features.

Prerequisites: It is recommended that attendees of CANape Advanced have a good working knowledge of the topics covered in the CANape Basics class.
