CANape 10.0 - Interfaces

Hardware Interfaces and Protocols (others upon request):

CANape supports all relevant standard interfaces and protocols in the automotive industry:

  • Support of CAN, LIN, FlexRay and MOST buses
  • CCP on CAN or Ethernet
  • XCP on CAN, FlexRay, Ethernet, RS232, SPI, SCI, LIN 1.3 and 2.0
  • KWP2000 on K-Line (with Ser2K level converter)
  • ISO 14230 (KWP2000 on CAN) and ISO 14229 (UDS).
  • Transport protocols ISO/TF2 and VW-TP2.0
  • Monitoring of SAE J1939 and GMLAN
  • High-speed controller interfaces such as Nexus, DAP, JTAG or AUD can be obtained from Vector’s VX1000 solution

Supported Measurement Systems for Analog and Digital Measurement:

The following measuring devices can be interconnected to CANape:

  • Vector IOcab 8444opto hardware interface for acquisition and output of analog and digital signals
  • Vector CANextender
  • ETAS measurement module series ES400 and ES600
  • All measurement data acquisition devices that are interconnected to the PC via the CAN bus, e.g. devices from the companies Caetec, CSM, IMC, Ipetronik
  • Analog and digital measurement hardware from National Instruments, including the DAQmx series
  • IMP thermal measurement modules from Solartron
  • ADwin systems from Jäger Computergesteuerte Messtechnik
  • QuantumX from HBM
  • CSM 2 Mbit bandwidth with overclocked CAN bus, e.g. for two signals each having a 10 kHz sampling rate

Note: The relevant manufacturer should be contacted regarding availability of a Windows Vista compatible device driver.

When XCP is used as a measurement and calibration protocol, CANape is an open platform for integrating measurement equipment solutions. Any desired data acquisition systems may be in-tegrated via a code generator for the XCP driver. Vector supports measurement equipment producers in developing their drivers by providing sample programs and consultation.

Supported Measurement Systems for Acquisition of Audio, Video and GPS:

  • NMEA-compatible GPS-receiver
  • µEye-cameras from the company IDS Imaging Development Systems GmbH
  • CANape supports also other cameras, with DirectX driver
