ECU Development in AUTOSAR

ECU development involves designing and implementing the AUTOSAR Software Components and configuring the Basic Software (BSW) and Runtime Environment (RTE). To exploit the optimization potential of the AUTOSAR Basic Software and RTE, an ECU-specific Configuration Description is created, which contains a detailed configuration that is adapted to the System Description.

Vector supports you with a complete lineup of AUTOSAR Basic Software and a seamless tool chain:

  • DaVinci Developer
This tool supports you in developing and integrating the application software of individual ECUs. It is optimally suited to graphically defining AUTOSAR Software Components (SWC) and configuring and generating the MICROSAR RTE.

  • MICROSAR Basic Software
Vector can provide you with everything you need to efficiently develop ECUs, including a Microcontroller Abstraction Layer, Memory Management, communication stacks for the CAN, LIN and FlexRay bus systems, an operating system and an RTE. All these Basic Software modules are conform to the AUTOSAR specifications. We offer modules adapted for many different hardware platforms in cooperation with the relevant semiconductor manufacturers.

DaVinci DeveloperMICROSAR Basic Software (BSW)Use the MICROSAR Configuration Suite to configure and to generate the MICROSAR Basic Software Modules (BSW).

  • DaVinci Configurator Pro & DaVinci Configurator Kit
DaVinci Configurator Pro is a tool that lets you consistently configure MICROSAR basic software from Vector and basic software from third party providers. The result is an AUTOSAR conformant "ECU Configuration Description" for your ECU. You can then use this description as an input to generate the BSW modules.

The DaVinci Configurator Kit is available for conveniently linking modules you have developed yourself (e.g. a complex device driver) to DaVinci Configurator Pro. This makes it easy for you to create the related BSW module description files, module-specific and user-friendly user interfaces, validation rules for configuration parameters as well as code generators.
