Welcome to the first edition of our Newsletter in the new year. The drastically changed business climate has required tremendous efforts on our part and throughout the industry. Vector was and continues to be affected by our customers´ cost reduction programs, forcing us to cope with a significant decline in sales.
Nonetheless, in all of our efforts to reduce costs, we are striving to keep our product development expenditures at their usual high level. That is why – in addition to further developing existing products such as CANcardXLe for LIN - we are able to introduce several new products to you as well: Additional test modules are available in the VT System, for example, and you can use the new DaVinci Component Tester to validate AUTOSAR software components on a PC. This is all rounded out by our tremendous application knowledge, which can now be accessed in our new Knowledge Base where you can research questions related to our primary tools – independent of regular office hours.

Flash Bootloader now for Ethernet and MOST too
Besides supporting CAN, LIN and FlexRay, the Flash Bootloader is now also available for MOST and Ethernet. It is based on the OEM Download Manager and Flash Driver components, and on the optional Security, which is already used in the flash bootloaders for the other bus systems. This gives you a compact solution for reprogramming ECUs based on the specifications of different automotive OEMs.

Vector supports ODX 2.2, the new ISO standard for exchanging diagnostic data, throughout its product lineup.
