This issue has become rather extensive for two reasons: first, autumn is traditionally the time for new releases of our testing and diagnostic tools. Secondly, the knowledge topics take up more space than ever. In the past, technical articles were the only source of expertise, meanwhile (recorded) webinars, case studies and application notes were added.
Latest news in the field of process management tools: the eASEE Tool Suite has been optimized for the processes and requirements of automotive E/E development tasks. Our investment in aquintos with their PREEvision software tool is meant to strengthen our solution offer in this area.

Important new features of CANoe Version 7.2 include:
> The new LIN SCOPE Option lets you analyze LIN networks on physical and logical levels.
> The CANoe Test Features Set gives you direct access to fault memory entries in the ECU.
> Diagnostics over IP (DoIP), the next generation diagnostic standard, is supported by CANoe 7.2.
> The XCP option now also supports CCP and allows you to access the memory of many ECUs during testing procedures.

MICROSAR IP for communication over Internet Protocol
With MICROSAR IP, Vector is extending its AUTOSAR solution by adding Ethernet support. Thererfore the Internet Protocol (IPv4), annunciated for AUTOSAR Release 4.0, is supported. Basic software modules of this MICROSAR packet are compatible with Release 3.0. Flash and diagnostic processes based on ISO 13400 (DoIP) as well as XCP benefit from the higher data throughput of the Ethernet interface.

Multiple ECUs also used for AUTOSAR
To realize cost savings in material logistics with AUTOSAR ECUs, MICROSAR modules are now available with the "Identity Manager" option. This option allows the configuration of Multiple ECUs (e.g. door ECUs) in such a way that the applicable variant will not be chosen until the moment of assembly.

The new Version 2.2 of the integration and validation tool offers many different new features for test report analysis. Accelerate report evaluation by commenting the test results and classifying them, e.g. by ECU error or specification error.

Indigo 2.0 - quick and easy vehicle diagnostics
In the new Version 2.0 of Indigo, the "ECU Control Center" now gives you direct control over ECU states, ECU-specific and vehicle-wide. Using the new ECU coding window you can simply save earlier variant coding data and restore the data later.

CANdelaStudio 6.5 - even more ODX and user convenience
In the new Version 6.5, you can now also import ECU descriptions in ODX 2.2.0 format. Many aspects of ODX-based data exchange related to ODX import and export have been further optimized. The new central DTC Pool lets you simply re-use DTCs on the ECU level.

The process of creating, updating and merging ASAP2 files has been further improved in Version 5.2 of the ASAP2 Tool-Set. Effective immediately, the three tools support the current ASAP2 Version 1.60. External type definitions for describing substructures simplify working with ASAP2 files. The new Save Mode preserves the Include Structure of the input file.

Know-how: Quantum leap in microcontroller measurement technology
Classic methods for measuring, calibrating and flashing are increasingly encountering limits in terms of the necessary data throughput. Robert Bosch GmbH was seeking a high-performance and future-assured measurement concept. With a measurement data rate of 5 MB/s at a CPU load of less than 1%, the VX1000 System from Vector fulfilled all necessary requirements.

New functions and numerous improvements in CANoe and CANalyzer versions for the
J1939,
NMEA2000,
ISO11783 and
J1587 protocols support you in your development tasks. Especially beneficial features include the "J1939 OBD Maintenance and Inspection Monitor", node filters that support dynamic addressing, automatic generation of SAE J1939-82 compliance tests, useful sample configurations and databases. CANoe.IP 7.2 simplifies complex simulations
A special aspect of the new Version 7.2 of CANoe's Option IP is that its simulation properties have been extended; integration of a dedicated TCP/IP protocol layer now enables simulation of multiple network nodes independent of one another. The new Version 7.2 of CANoe.CANopen lets you generate a complete SDO test for your device based on an EDS file. CANoe's extensive report and analysis functions are available to you for test evaluation. Before generation, select whether a full SDO test should be run or only special areas of the SDO protocol should be checked. The fully revised test wizard lets you generate tests quickly and conveniently.
